Endure and Endure Some More
It is only in the enduring that we find hope and healing; restoration and renewal.

In the deep recesses of our hearts lie many struggles and burdens; secrets and sin; pain and hurt - things we've done or those things done to us. Things that are embedded into our hearts and souls; that moving past becomes more difficult than we could have ever imagined; or rising above challenges us like nothing in life has ever before.
It becomes a journey of venturing from the valley and desert to the mountaintop. It captures us in ways we could not fathom and threatens to steal and erode any ounce of peace, joy, comfort, and happiness we may find. We find ourselves - our heart, mind, and soul warring with one another - never being or doing enough on our own. Sometimes we falter and run back to the comfort of our pain and though not meaning to, find our identity in the sorrow and hurt.
"We can rejoice, too, when we run into problems and trials, for we know that they help us develop endurance. And endurance develops strength of character, and character strengthens our confident hope of salvation." — Romans 5:3-4
It is only in the enduring that we find hope and healing; restoration and renewal. It's an act of persevering through the darkness to find life sustaining and healing light on the other side.
It is in removing the negativity that will teach us our identity isn't found in the sorrow or the pain; or even who we once were - but learning our identity is found in God who brings us hope and healing; restoration and renewal; who picks us up when we fall; who calms the raging warring storms within; and who gives life sustaining light leading to a comfort, peace, and joy like we've never known before!
